Greystar is a real estate company offering expertise in investment management, development, and management of rental properties in prime locations around the world. Their London office approached us to create planning permission images for their Chapter Kings Cross project.
This case study covers everything from creating detailed models that bring the project to life, to choosing the right materials that make a difference. We faced some challenges along the way, but we’re excited to show you how we solved them and delivered great results for our client.
THE XO3D DIFFERENCE
The client selected us due to their regular supplier’s high workload. They required swift, high-quality image production, which we successfully delivered, contributing to their planning application’s success.
Beyond the client’s initial image style request, we introduced lighting, mood, and angle variations. This approach enriched the presentation of various facade options through diverse studies.
We explored numerous material variations for the facade. The client sought our expertise to visualize the effects of different materials on the building and its impact on the surroundings, aiding their planning submission visuals.

CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS
The project’s location and client requirements demanded precise context modeling. Creating this from scratch was unfeasible within the timeframe. We utilised a 1-square mile model from Z-Mapping, providing basic geometry and accurate area representation. This approach expedited our work, ensuring correct dimensions and spacing.
