Interactive product pages are being used all over the web today.
HOW CAN 360 SPINS HELP YOU?
Product interactives offer several benefits that can greatly enhance your business. Here are some ways in which product interactives can help you:
Increased Engagement: Product interactives provide a highly engaging and interactive experience for your customers. By allowing them to interact with virtual representations of your products, you capture their attention and encourage them to spend more time exploring and understanding the features and functionality of your offerings.
Improved Product Understanding: Static images or videos can sometimes fall short in effectively conveying the unique qualities of a product. Product interactives pages bridge this gap by enabling users to rotate, zoom in, and interact with the product from different angles. This immersive experience helps customers gain a comprehensive understanding of the product, its dimensions, components, and how it works.
Enhanced Customisation: Product interactives can be designed to incorporate customization options. Users can personalize the product by selecting different variations, colours, finishes, or features, allowing them to visualize and evaluate different options before making a purchase decision. This level of customization fosters a sense of ownership and empowers customers to create a product that meets their specific needs.
Increased Confidence in Purchase Decisions: By providing a realistic and interactive representation of your product, product interactives build trust and confidence in your customers. They can examine the product closely, view it from multiple angles, and explore its features in detail. This transparency helps alleviate doubts and concerns, making customers more confident in their purchasing decisions.
Reduced Returns and Enhance Customer Satisfaction: The detailed and immersive experience offered by product interactives helps set accurate expectations for customers. When they have a clear understanding of the product’s appearance, size, and features, they are less likely to be disappointed upon receiving the actual product. This can result in a decrease in returns and an increase in customer satisfaction.
Competitive Advantage: Incorporating product interactives into your marketing and sales strategies sets you apart from competitors who rely solely on traditional visual content. The innovative and engaging nature of product interactives positions your brand as forward-thinking, technologically advanced, and customer-centric. This can give you a competitive edge in the market and attract customers who value immersive experiences.
Data and Analytics: Product interactives can provide valuable insights into customer behaviour and preferences. By analysing user interactions within the interactive experience, you can gather data on which product features or options are most popular, how users navigate through the interactive, and other user engagement metrics. This data can inform your marketing strategies, product development, and overall business decisions.
In summary, product interactives offer a range of benefits, including increased customer engagement, improved understanding of your products, customization options, increased confidence in purchase decisions, reduced returns, a competitive advantage, and access to valuable data. The choice of interactive format depends on the product, industry, and the specific goals of the interactive experience. By leveraging these interactive techniques, businesses can create dynamic, immersive, and personalized experiences that captivate customers and drive engagement.
HOW ARE PRODUCT INTERACTIVES CREATED?
Firstly, we begin any type of 3D visuals with the creation of a 3D model, in 3D computer graphics, 3D modelling is the process of developing a mathematical representation of any surface of a subject or object, in this case a product, in three dimensions via specialised 3D software’s. To clarify and begin this process an idea is needed, 3D models can be created from things such as technical drawings, sketches or photographs.STEP 01
Lighting is created and it can be thought of the same as a photography studio but on a computer. The lighting is applied in different directions to create the best reflections that bring out all the details of the form of the product. Depending on the desired outcome of the render. There could also be minimal lighting to create teaser images for marketing purposes.STEP 02
Thirdly, the desired materials are added to the object and tweaked with all different settings, using multiple different images and processes to get the materials to look as they would in real life. After that, the lighting is finalised to highlight the finer details of the products materials.STEP 03
Finally, setting the subject off on the final stages of the process. This is where the computer does its work, by generating the images so that they can be used. The render engine is started so that it creates all different types of outputs that are subsequently brought together in a post production software such as Photoshop and a pretty picture is created by our 3D artists.STEP 04
WHAT IS THE WORKFLOW FOR VISUALISING PRODUCTS?
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO GET YOUR PRODUCT RENDERING PROJECT STARTED?
Although we do not need all of the above, these will make the project much smoother. Read further here.
We recently asked XO3D to render pack shots for an upcoming product that will launch in the winter of ’21. We were under severe time constraints and Alex and his team rose to the challenge and delivered the results on time and with great quality.
We weren’t sure what to expect from a 3D product render in comparison to product photos. The pictures that I shared as reference material was enough to get realistic looking results. There were enough planned moments to provide input and great flexibility in incorporating our feedback.
All in all super happy about the quality and professional service!
