Director-led studio

Product CGI stills. Directed for launch.

Bespoke, launch-defining stills built from CAD, art-directed for the product and carried across campaign, press, retail and digital.

Selected clients

Product CGI stills

A visual standard built before the product exists.

XO3D creates director-led product CGI stills for tech, industrial and premium consumer brands. Every image starts with the product truth and the job the frame has to do.

From a single hero composition to a complete colourway and campaign library, we build one controlled visual system from CAD. Materials, light and composition stay consistent from launch reveal to final retail asset. When that system must also supply film, social, press and interactive formats, it becomes a complete launch visual suite.

Why it matters

Built for launch pressure.

Hold the product truth.

Protect proportion, material, finish and colour against the approved technical source.

Direct the frame.

Design every composition around the launch idea and the product detail the audience must notice.

Build before manufacture.

Develop the campaign from CAD while tooling, prototypes and final production continue.

Create one visual system.

Carry consistent light, material and art direction across hero, press, retail and campaign formats.

Stills system

One product. One visual language.

Hero, campaign, technical and colourway frames directed together from one accurate CGI source.

Accuracy held

The colour is the colour.

A colourway system is only worth building if every variant is right. Brand colour has an exact value, and a still that is nearly that value is a brand-consistency failure rather than a rounding error.

Colour is held to the value you specify, Pantone or CMYK, and kept consistent across every angle, every lighting setup and every output format, then carried through the finishing grade instead of being traded away to make a frame look better. Materials are reconstructed from physical reference for that specific product rather than applied from a library, because a real finish behaves in ways a colour assignment cannot describe. Where you can supply a physical sample or a finish swatch, the render is compared against it directly before look development is signed off. The full standard is in product truth.

Who it's for

Made for launch-critical product teams.

For Creative Directors, Brand Directors, Product Marketing Directors and launch teams responsible for the product's first impression.

We work from CAD, concept designs, technical drawings and product documentation, often before a physical sample exists. Our pre-manufacture CGI workflow explains the engineering review and campaign path in detail.

How we work

Directed from CAD to final frame.

  1. Step 01

    Define the launch job.

We establish the audience, product truth, release moment and role each final frame must play.

  2. Step 02

    Direct the visual system.

We agree composition, material language, lighting direction and the complete stills plan.

  3. Step 03

    Build from CAD.

The product asset and visual world are developed through structured creative and technical reviews.

  4. Step 04

    Finish every frame.

Approved stills are graded, mastered and delivered for campaign, press, retail and digital use.

The advantage

Why senior teams choose XO3D.

A director behind every brief.

Creative direction remains accountable from the first reference through the final grade.

A CAD-accurate foundation.

Engineering inputs protect proportion, finish and product truth before the first composition is approved.

A complete launch system.

Hero, campaign, technical and colourway frames are planned together, not produced as disconnected outputs.

Control at every scale.

The same approved material, light and composition standards hold across every product and variant.

FAQ

Common questions, answered.

What is product rendering?
Product rendering is the production technique used to create still CGI from a 3D product asset. XO3D directs those stills as a launch visual system, with each frame planned around product truth, audience and use.
How are product CGI stills different from standard renders?
A standard render may answer a single image request. A product CGI stills system aligns hero, campaign, technical and colourway frames under one art direction, so the launch reads as one body of work.
Can XO3D create launch stills before manufacture?
Yes. We build from CAD files, engineering specifications, material references and product documentation, so the visual campaign can develop before physical samples are ready.
What can one CGI stills system deliver?
Depending on the brief, it can include hero frames, campaign environments, material studies, exploded views, colourway libraries, press assets and retail formats.
What do you need to start?
A clear brief, CAD or technical source files, material and finish references, brand guidance, launch timing and the channels the final work must serve.

Your next project

Agree the shot list first.

Choose hero, detail and contextual views around the product message. Material samples, camera references and final delivery dimensions make the brief concrete before the first image is developed.

A route to consider

CGI stills and campaign visuals

Directed product stills with an agreed shot list, material references, environments and delivery formats.

Bring these three things.

  1. Which views are essential?
  2. What references define the finish?
  3. What sizes and crops are required?

Start with an outline. We review the product, intended outputs and timing before agreeing the production scope.
