There are several types of product interactives that can be used to engage customers and enhance their experience. Here are some common types:

  1. 360-Degree Product Views: This type of interactive allows users to rotate a product and view it from all angles. Users can explore the product by dragging their cursor or swiping on a touchscreen, giving them a comprehensive view of the item.

  2. Interactive Hotspots: Interactive hotspots are clickable areas on a product image or 3D model that provide additional information or pop-up windows with product details. Users can click on specific features or parts of the product to access more information or view related content.

  3. Customization Options: Product interactives can include customization features that allow users to modify certain aspects of the product, such as color, material, size, or design. This gives users the ability to personalize the product according to their preferences and visualize the customizations in real-time.

  4. Product Configurators: Configurators enable users to build and customize complex products by selecting different components, options, and features. This interactive tool guides users through the configuration process, allowing them to see the changes in real-time and visualize the final product.

  5. Virtual Try-On: Popular in the fashion and beauty industries, virtual try-on experiences use augmented reality (AR) or virtual reality (VR) technologies to allow users to virtually try on clothing, accessories, or cosmetics. Users can see how the product looks on them in real-time, either by uploading a photo or using their device’s camera.

  6. Interactive Product Demos: Interactive demos provide a hands-on experience where users can interact with a virtual representation of the product and see its features in action. This type of interactive can showcase the functionality, operation, or unique selling points of the product, offering a more engaging demonstration.

  7. Interactive Product Tours: Product tours take users on a guided interactive journey through a product’s features, benefits, and use cases. Users can navigate through different sections, click on interactive elements, and learn more about the product’s key functionalities and advantages.

  8. Gamified Product Experiences: Gamification elements can be incorporated into product interactives to make the experience more entertaining and engaging. This can involve challenges, quizzes, or interactive elements that encourage users to explore the product while having fun.

These are just a few examples of the different types of product interactives available. The choice of interactive format depends on the product, industry, and the specific goals of the interactive experience. By leveraging these interactive techniques, businesses can create dynamic, immersive, and personalized experiences that captivate customers and drive engagement.

Firstly, we begin any type of 3D visuals with the creation of a 3D model, in 3D computer graphics, 3D modelling is the process of developing a mathematical representation of any surface of a subject or object, in this case a product, in three dimensions via specialised 3D software’s. To clarify and begin this process an idea is needed, 3D models can be created from things such as technical drawings, sketches or photographs.

Lighting is created and it can be thought of the same as a photography studio but on a computer. The lighting is applied in different directions to create the best reflections that bring out all the details of the form of the product. Depending on the desired outcome of the render. There could also be minimal lighting to create teaser images for marketing purposes.

Thirdly, the desired materials are added to the object and tweaked with all different settings, using multiple different images and processes to get the materials to look as they would in real life. After that, the lighting is finalised to highlight the finer details of the products materials.

Finally, setting the subject off on the final stages of the process. This is where the computer does its work, by generating the images so that they can be used. The render engine is started so that it creates all different types of outputs that are subsequently brought together in a post production software such as Photoshop and a pretty picture is created by our 3D artists.

Work with us!

Firstly, to begin a project, clients provide all the information required. For product visualisations, we require things such as drawings, design specifications, sketches, mood boards or other type of information you may have.

To clarify, we will check all of the content the clients have provided and ask for more details if necessary. In addition, a meeting, phone call or Teams call is always beneficial. To sum up, this helps avoid any misconception and allows us to shorten turnaround times for 3D rendering services.

We start working as soon as we understand all of the details the task requires, and time frames have been agreed by both parties. Our 3D artists keep in constant contact with the clients throughout this process, with regular updates.

After that, we present draft 3D renders to you for comments and review and finally make the adjustments.

The client accepts the drafts for final rendering.

Finally, we present the 3D visuals, after we have completed postproduction in high resolution with full quality lighting, reflections, glossiness and materials.

Although we do not need all of the above, these will make the project much smoother.

We recently asked XO3D to render pack shots for an upcoming product that will launch in the winter of ’21. We were under severe time constraints and Alex and his team rose to the challenge and delivered the results on time and with great quality.

We weren’t sure what to expect from a 3D product render in comparison to product photos. The pictures that I shared as reference material was enough to get realistic looking results. There were enough planned moments to provide input and great flexibility in incorporating our feedback.

All in all super happy about the quality and professional service!
