Precision modelling for fine jewellery.

Jewellery 3D modelling is the process of building an accurate digital version of a piece, and it is the foundation every other jewellery asset depends on. XO3D, a director-led product CGI studio in Stevenage, UK, models rings, necklaces, pendants, watches and bracelets from CAD, technical drawings or detailed reference photography. Facet geometry, prong placement, setting depth and chain detail are built to the accuracy fine jewellery demands, because an error at this stage is repeated in every render, film and interactive experience that follows. Topology, level of detail and export format are agreed before modelling starts, and the model is reviewed at silhouette, topology and detail stages before sign-off. One approved asset then serves rendering, animation, augmented reality and configurator work, with physically based materials applied so the piece behaves consistently wherever it is used.
