Smarter AM
Smarter AM Coffee Machine.
How CGI replaced inconsistent product photography for Smarter AM’s flagship coffee machine — delivering hero renders, full colourways and exploded views at any resolution, ready for product page, marketing and paid media.
The Brief
Consistent product imagery for a smarter morning.
Smarter AM’s coffee machine sits inside a connected-home ecosystem alongside the iKettle and Fridge Cam — but the team faced the same problem every modern brand hits sooner or later: product photography was inconsistent, and that was hurting product page conversion, paid creative and sales material.
They needed a unified visual language across every product image — hero shots, multi-angle views, all three colourways and an exploded view — rendered at a resolution that could be cropped, animated and re-used without ever losing the crisp, premium finish.
We replaced photography with high-resolution CGI: brand-led lighting, photoreal materials and a render library Smarter AM could chop and re-use across web, paid social, retail listings and PR — with total visual consistency from one image to the next.
The Work
From hero still to exploded view — one render library.
A complete product render library: hero stills, multi-angle views, three full colourways and an exploded view — all produced from the same 3D source for total visual consistency across every touchpoint.
-
A flagship still that sets the brand standard.
We built a headline product render that captures the Smarter AM Coffee Machine in its best light — clean studio lighting, precise material work and a composition tuned for hero placement on the product page and across paid media.
-
Modular components, made obvious.
An exploded view sequence breaks down the bean hopper, grinder, brew unit and water reservoir — communicating the engineering inside the machine in a single, art-directed frame.
-
A clean technical view for spec and marketing.
An isometric render that doubles as a feature graphic and a clean technical reference — perfect for spec sheets, app store creative and feature comparison content.
-
Premium presence, low-angle hero.
A low-angle render that emphasises proportion, finish and the considered industrial design — giving the machine a confident, premium presence on the homepage and in launch campaigns.
-
A precision side view for PDP and lifestyle.
A controlled side profile shot used for product page tiles, comparison grids and lifestyle compositing — same lighting language as the hero, ensuring total visual consistency across the asset library.
Colourways
Three finishes, one consistent visual language.
Black, grey and white — rendered from the same source assets with matched lighting, framing and finish. Drop-in ready for product pages, retail listings and paid social.

Process
Greycard to final — locking lighting before materials.
Every angle was first reviewed in greycard. Locking lighting, composition and camera work before final materials kept the Smarter AM team in control of approvals and made the final render predictable, on-brand and right first time.
