Photoreal jewellery imagery, at scale.

XO3D is a director-led product CGI studio in Stevenage, UK, and jewellery rendering is one of the most technically demanding disciplines it works in. Jewellery rendering creates photoreal still imagery of rings, necklaces, earrings and watches from CAD or a modelled 3D source, rather than from a physical shoot. Because the piece exists as an accurate digital asset, every metal, stone and setting variant can be produced from a single model, lit consistently and delivered for product pages, campaigns and print catalogues. The work depends on physically based materials, accurate refraction through cut stones and controlled lighting, which is what makes brilliance and polished metal read correctly on screen. XO3D directs composition, lighting and material behaviour before production begins, then reviews the image set at agreed stages so the final frames match the standard a luxury brand has already set elsewhere.

Why it works

Why brands use jewellery rendering.

Every variant from one model.

Render metal, stone and setting variations from a single 3D source — no shoot per colourway.

Light play that sells.

Accurate diamond ray-tracing and metal IOR — the brilliance that defines luxury imagery.

Model once, render every variant.

One approved jewellery asset can produce consistent imagery across metals, stones, settings and campaign formats.

FAQ

Common questions, answered.

Can CGI jewellery match real photography?
Yes — at production quality, the distinction effectively disappears. We render to PBR material standards with accurate ray-tracing.
How many variants can you produce?
Volume doesn't change quality. A single hero image or thousands of catalogue variants — both produced at the same standard.
