XO3D Sponsors St Joseph's Youth Football Club

XO3D is proud to announce our sponsorship of St Joseph’s Youth Football Club for the upcoming season.

The sponsorship began with a personal connection. A former colleague of our founder, Thomas Howcroft, whose son plays for the club, asked whether XO3D would support it, and we were glad to say yes.

Supporting grassroots youth sport is something the team feels strongly about. Local clubs like St Joseph’s give young players a place to develop, build confidence, make friends, and learn the value of teamwork, and they only exist because of the volunteers, coaches, parents and sponsors who keep them running.

About the club

Founded in 1971, St Joseph’s Youth ’88 Football Club serves young players in Harrow and the surrounding areas. It is run on a voluntary basis by parents and friends, with more than 60 volunteers and an executive committee elected each year. The club fields more than 20 teams a season, from under-7s to under-17s, in the Harrow Youth Football League, and its 11-a-side teams also enter the Middlesex County Cup.

The club gained the Football Association’s Charter Mark on 11 September 2003 and reports renewing it every year since. Every team has at least a Level 1 coach and an approved first aider, and all club staff undergo an enhanced DBS check and complete emergency first aid and child safeguarding courses, renewed every three years.

Around 300 young players play for St Joseph’s, and the club aims to start new under-5 and under-6 teams each year. Its summer 6-a-side festival, held on the third weekend in June, draws more than 250 teams and around 3,000 people, and each season closes with a presentation day that recognises every member’s efforts. The club also hosts a Family Funday and Club Open Day on the second Sunday in September and a Christmas disco, and its link with Old Salvos FC gives male players a route into adult football in the area.
