Dermalux is a world leading and trusted British brand for professional LED Phototherapy. They produce top-quality devices that are medically certified, clinically proven and backed by science. They approached us to produce high-end 3D animations and renders for their entire range of products – the Flex MD, the Flex Mini, the Compact Lite, and the Tri-Wave MD.
These animations were created for marketing and promotional campaigns, highlighting the design, functionality, and unique attributes of their products. To captivate their audience, the CGI clips will showcase dark and mysterious environments combined with reveal and close-up shots, emphasising the distinctive nature of each product. Overall, the project aimed to deliver premium-quality animations that effectively communicate the value and benefits of Dermalux’s medical consumer products.

PROJECT BRIEF
To produce top-tier 3D animations for Dermalux’s cost-effective consumer-centric products. These animations will serve marketing and promotional objectives, aiming to spotlight the products’ attributes, visual appeal, and operational capabilities.
The animations shall commence with a mysterious and shadowy visual motif, prioritising product reveal sequences and close-up shots to engage the viewers and underscore the distinctive characteristics of each product.

WHY DID THE CLIENT COME TO US?
Dermalux’s product portfolio represents the frontline of modern technology, characterised by their intricate and sophisticated nature. Dermalux engaged our services with the conviction that through the application of 3D animation, we could adeptly convey the visual essence of these products in a dynamic and enthralling manner.
WHY CGI?
Computer-generated imagery (CGI) proves to be a potent tool for illustrating the functionality of a medical technology product. Through harnessing the capabilities of visual narrative and the boundless realm of three-dimensional space, we successfully presented the intricate attributes of Dermalux’s Compact MD product in a fresh and captivating manner.
Addressing Challenges and Implementing Solutions
At the outset, it became apparent that an iterative approach was necessary due to the evolving nature of the animation’s requirements and storyboard.
Hence, efficient communication, meticulous documentation, and a methodical revision process proved imperative in managing these challenges and accommodating client feedback throughout the 3D animation production.
The central emphasis in the Compact MD project was placed on the LED array and its movable components. To meet the client’s demand for a heightened level of realism, we had to implement advanced rendering techniques.
