Product CGI for EV & Cleantech Brands.

Engineering-accurate CGI for a sector where technical credibility and commercial ambition must coexist — often before the product exists physically.

Overview

Engineers and investors. The same film. The same trust.

The EV and clean technology sector presents a CGI challenge that few industries match. The products are technically complex — EV charging infrastructure, battery storage systems, power conversion equipment — and the audiences they must communicate to are technically literate. A visualisation that misrepresents a mechanism, simplifies an engineering feature for visual convenience, or uses generic industrial aesthetics signals that the studio doesn't understand the product. In a sector where trust is everything, that matters.

At the same time, cleantech brands must communicate to non-technical investors, policy makers, and consumer audiences who need to understand the product's significance without being lost in its engineering. CGI that speaks to engineers and non-engineers simultaneously is a specific skill, not a happy accident. See how our Technical CGI service handles both audiences.

Featured Work

Petalite — 1MW EV Charging Infrastructure.

Petalite 1MW EV charger product CGI

Case Study · EV Infrastructure

XO3D produced the entire visual suite for Petalite's 1MW modular EV charging system from raw CAD data — while the product was still in active development. This included 2 engineering films, 2 exploded mechanism animations, a homepage animation, 6 lifestyle stills and 7 studio renders. All delivered with 100% technical accuracy maintained through multiple active product design changes during production. Used for Petalite's international investor roadshow, website hero, paid social, and trade show communications.

"The brief was to explain modular EV infrastructure. Our intention was to make the viewer feel the weight of the engineering before they understood how it worked."

What We Produce

For EV and cleantech brands.

Pre-Manufacture Visualisation

Launch before manufacturing completes

XO3D works from CAD files and engineering specifications to produce launch-ready visuals before the product exists physically. Petalite's global launch campaign was built entirely from pre-manufacture data. Timelines aligned with your launch date, not your manufacturing schedule.

Engineering & Mechanism Films

Making complex technology comprehensible

Animation sequences that show how a system works — power flow, modular assembly, charging sequence — at the correct level of technical detail for each audience. We work with your engineering team to ensure mechanism sequences are accurate.

Investor-Grade Visuals

Making investors believe before they understand

CGI for investor roadshows, pitch decks and stakeholder presentations. The visual standard that makes a complex technology feel credible and significant to non-technical audiences.

Technical Documentation

Accuracy that satisfies engineers

Renders and animations for technical sales materials, distributor documentation, and compliance submissions. Produced to the dimensional accuracy required for technical review — with a note on what is accurate representation versus interpretive visual clarity.

FAQ

EV & cleantech CGI questions.

Can you work with products that are still in active development?
Yes — and this is a core competency for XO3D. The Petalite project involved multiple active product design changes during production, with the CGI updated to reflect each revision. We build production processes around this: version control on 3D files, clear change-request procedures, and a modular model structure that makes design updates efficient rather than destructive.
Do you sign NDAs for cleantech projects?
Yes. XO3D signs NDA before reviewing technical files as standard. Cleantech and EV projects often involve IP-sensitive engineering data, pre-launch product specifications, and proprietary mechanism designs. We are happy to sign your NDA before any files are shared.
Can you produce CGI for both investor and consumer audiences?
Yes. The Petalite project produced visuals used simultaneously for an international investor roadshow, consumer website content, and trade show communications. These required slightly different visual treatments — the investor materials emphasised engineering complexity and scale; the consumer materials emphasised ease of use and future relevance. Both came from the same 3D asset and the same production process.
