What to plan for.
Requires optimised 3D assets.
Real-time VR is bounded by the target headset's performance. Hero-render geometry rarely ships to VR unchanged, retopology, LODs and baked materials are typically required.
Headset ownership is not universal.
Not every stakeholder owns a headset. Plan the experience for headset-owning audiences (trade shows, sales meetings, investor days) and pair with 360 or Web alternatives for broader reach.
Development cost is real.
True interactive VR is a software project. Budget for developers, testers and iteration. Pre-rendered 360 experiences are much cheaper if interactivity is not the point.
Motion comfort matters.
Poorly designed locomotion, unstable frame rates or heavy visual effects can cause motion discomfort. This is a design discipline, not an afterthought.
Content ages fast.
Hardware and platform capabilities move quickly. Plan the content refresh cycle up front, especially for training and marketing applications.

Brief and objective.

Source asset and scope.
We reuse existing production-ready 3D assets where possible, and identify what new modelling, retopology or environment build is needed.
- STAGE 3
Design and interaction.
UX for VR, locomotion, interactions, UI in headset, comfort settings. Interactive VR is designed like software, not like film.
- STAGE 4
Build and integrate.
Unity or Unreal for interactive VR, direct render pipelines for 360 experiences. Assets are optimised, materials baked, LODs added, and everything tuned for the target headset.
- STAGE 5
Testing and iteration.
Testing on real headsets, checking frame rate, motion comfort and clarity of interaction. Iteration on real user testing rather than desktop-only preview.
- STAGE 6
Delivery and support.
Executable build, WebXR embed or 360 file suite, plus support for on-site installations at trade shows, launch events and investor days.

Reviewing information
We review the brief, confirm scope, and align on which platform pipeline (Unity, Unreal, WebXR, 360 render) is the right fit for the objective and budget.
- STEP 3
Design and prototype
Interaction design, comfort settings and a first-pass prototype in headset. Sign-off at prototype stage is the cheapest place to make major changes.

Full asset build, materials, integration and iteration. Progress lands at agreed milestones with build releases you can test in headset.

What is virtual reality?

What headsets does VR content usually target?
Meta Quest (standalone), PCVR rigs (Valve Index, HTC Vive Pro), and Apple Vision Pro cover most consumer and enterprise targets. WebXR runs in-browser on any supported headset or desktop.
What is the difference between VR and 360 video?
