The Brief

A redesigned product, a bigger story.

Allwood Joinery returned to XO3D after a successful first project — this time with Modulite, a complete redesign of their modular interior system with a new assembly mechanism, new materials and a new visual identity.

They needed an animation that could carry a launch on its own — communicating modularity, premium finish and real-world room context, all while production of the physical product was still ramping up.

We delivered a cinematic hero film backed by voice-over, sound design and simulation work — built around interior scene transitions, slotting connection logic and a signature closing-door reveal that anchors the entire piece.

The Work

Hero film, feature cuts, signature transitions.

A complete CGI library for the Modulite launch — built around one cinematic hero film and a set of focused cuts that explain modularity, finish and interior context.

  1. 01 Hero Film

A cinematic product reveal for launch.

The headline Modulite film combines voice-over, sound design and refined CGI animation into a single hero asset — engineered to introduce the redesigned product to market and drive interest from day one.

  2. 02 Feature Animation

    Product features, explained in motion.

A feature-focused animation walks viewers through the revamped assembly mechanism, materials and finish of Modulite — built so the product story stays clear without relying on physical prototypes.

  3. 03 Floating Blocks

    Modularity as a visual language.

Floating block sequences abstract the modular system into a brand-led motion idiom — communicating flexibility and reconfiguration at a glance, ideal for top-of-funnel social and web content.

  4. 04 Connection Logic

How parts slot together — made obvious.

A focused slotting sequence shows exactly how Modulite components align and lock. Built closely with Allwood, every motion is technically accurate so viewers immediately understand how the system goes together.

  5. 05 Interior Context

    Real-world rooms, photoreal lighting.

Interior scene transitions place Modulite inside credible kitchen and living environments — using the same brand-led lighting language as the hero film, so every asset feels part of one consistent product story.

  6. 06 Door Transition

A closing door becomes a finished room.

A signature transition uses the closing door of Modulite to reveal the fully assembled interior — turning a functional product action into a narrative beat that anchors the film.

Marketing-Ready Assets

Drop-in cuts for web, social and decks.

A library of short-form cuts produced from the same CGI source — designed to plug straight into product pages, paid social and sales decks.

Client Review

“This was our first time working with XO3D and it won’t be our last. Alex and Connor were very professional, proactive and fun to work with. The guys delivered an exceptional animation from a very complicated brief.”

What made this project special?

Artists Commentary.

Allwood returned to XO3D after a successful first collaboration — this time with a redesigned product, a larger budget and more creative freedom.

When a fire at their factory paused production, we took the opportunity to stretch our full toolkit — simulation, sound design and creative direction — to deliver an asset that could carry the launch alone.

The result is arguably the finest interior animation our team has produced — a confident, end-to-end advertisement for Modulite.

Modulite V1

From V1 to the final Modulite.

Our first Modulite collaboration laid the groundwork — assembly, disassembly, exploded and turntable cuts that informed the redesign and the cinematic V2 film.

Behind the Scenes

Greycard passes — locking the story.

Every shot was reviewed in greycard before final lighting — letting us confirm motion, timing and connection logic with Allwood so the final film read clearly end-to-end.
