The Brief
A redesigned product, a bigger story.
Allwood Joinery returned to XO3D with a new version of Modulite. It had a new assembly method, new materials and a new visual identity.
The film had to explain the modular design, finish and room context. Physical production was still under way.
We made one hero film with voice-over, sound and simulation. Clear connection shots and a closing-door transition hold the story together.

Why use CGI for this project?

XO3D created a cinematic launch film for Allwood Joinery's redesigned Modulite interior system, showing its assembly, materials and modular room applications.
- Why CGI
The physical product was still ramping up, so CGI could explain the new connection logic and place Modulite in finished interiors before a full shoot was possible.
- What was delivered
Allwood received a hero film, feature cuts, interior stills, assembly sequences, voice-over and sound design for the launch.

The main Modulite film brings voice-over, sound and CGI into one launch asset. It introduces the new product through a clear visual story.

This focused cut shows the new assembly method, materials and finish. Viewers can understand the product before they see a physical sample.
Modularity as a visual language.
Floating blocks turn the modular system into a simple visual idea. The short sequence works well on web and social channels.
How parts slot together, made obvious.
This close sequence shows how each part aligns and locks. We checked the motion with Allwood so the build stays true to the product.
Real-world rooms, photoreal lighting.
Room transitions place Modulite in kitchen and living spaces. The same light and colour link every shot to the main film.
A closing door becomes a finished room.
A closing Modulite door reveals the finished room. This product action becomes the key transition in the film.

Drop-in cuts for web, social and decks.
We made each short cut from the same CGI source. The assets fit product pages, social posts and sales decks.

Our first Modulite project set the base. Its build, exploded and turntable cuts helped shape the new film.

Greycard passes, locking the story.
We reviewed every shot in greycard before final light. This let Allwood check motion, timing and each connection early.
The deliverable
A full launch render library, built once, used everywhere.

What made this project special?
Studio Commentary.
Allwood returned after our first project together. This brief covered a new product design and gave us more room to shape the film.
A fire at the factory paused production. We used that time to develop the simulation, sound and direction around one strong launch asset.
The result is a complete product film that explains Modulite from assembly to finished room.
